Want to support the premier maker event in Ireland? Want to connect with creative, innovative people of all ages? There are many ways to help make this non-profit, free-entry, all-ages event possible!
2013 DUBLIN MINI MAKER FAIRE SPONSORSHIP OPTIONS
Dublin Mini Maker Faire will be held on July 27th, 2013 at Science Gallery, Trinity College. It is a free-to-attend, community-driven event, and pat of the Ireland-wide The Gathering. To make this great event happen, we are looking for financial support from companies, organisations and individuals, as well as in-kind support.
Maker Faire is the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth – a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement. It’s a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning.
Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, artists, science clubs, students, authors, and commercial exhibitors. They are of all ages and backgrounds, coming from all over Ireland and beyond. Maker Faire’s mission is to entertain, inform and connect the makers of Ireland, while inspiring the next generation of Ireland’s makers and inventors.
We need your support to make this happen!
Becoming a sponsor of Dublin Mini Maker Faire is a great way for your company or organization to connect with this exciting and growing community in an all-ages event.
Our first year completely exceeded all our expectations. With over 5,000 attendees, 31 maker booths and great mentions in national newspapers like The Irish Times and international press such as Forbes, it was a huge success. We featured events with Mary FitzGerald of How Do You Do? and Jane Ní Dhulchaointigh, the creator of Sugru.
The 2013 faire will be bigger, better, and even more inspiring!
Why is Dublin Mini Maker Faire so great?
- It’s a chance for us, as makers, to give back to the community through this event which will help inspire everyone to become a maker.
- The faire will connect to people and projects within their local community and beyond.
- The faire will help inspire and empower young people to learn more about and pursue careers in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
- It’s a CSR opportunity like no other, now established as a yearly event, which will bring together over 40 exhibiting makers and workshop leaders, 50 volunteers, and 5,000+ attendees.
- There is no other event like it! Where else would you get flame-thrower drum kits, exercise-powered Scalectrix, 14ft drums, Irish speaking robots, crochet, and period costume all in one place?
Sponsorship benefits will range from text mention and logo inclusion in written material, to having exhibit space at the event. Please see the attached levels for more information.
