Dublin Mini Maker Faire launches open call for makers to take part in a one day showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness

Dublin Mini Maker Faire returns in 2013 and invites makers of all kinds to show what they are making, and to share what they are learning.

DUBLIN MINI MAKER FAIRE:
Saturday 27th July 2013 10am-6pm at Science Gallery, Trinity College Dublin
Open call for makers closes 1st March 2013

Dublin Mini Maker Faire’s mission is to entertain, inform and connect the
makers of Ireland, while inspiring the next generation of Ireland’s makers and inventors. Last summer, over 5,000 people visited this free-to-attend, community-driven event, which featured 31 maker booths and events that included Mary FitzGerald of How Do You Do? fame, and Jane Ni Dhulchaointigh, the creator of Sugru.

This year, the organisers at Science Gallery and TOG The Dublin Hackerspace
aim to create the biggest Dublin Mini Maker Faire yet. To make this happen,
Dublin Mini Maker Faire has launched an open call for makers to take part
in the event.

Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters, educators, tinkerers,
hobbyists, engineers, artists, science clubs, students, authors, and
commercial exhibitors. They are of all ages and backgrounds, coming from
all over Ireland and beyond.

HOW TO APPLY: Makers can apply by visiting www.makerfairedublin.com and
filling in the online submission form. It doesn’t matter if the project is finished, part finished, or just an idea – Dublin Mini Maker Faire wants to
hear from you.

Dublin Mini Maker Faire is also inviting potential sponsors to get in touch and find out how they can help make the event happen.
