Fourth of July preview of Dublin Mini Maker Faire


We will be holding a mini preview of what this year’s Maker Faire will have to offer at the U.S. Embassy Dublin‘s Independence Day Celebration. The fun packed event takes place in the Phoenix Park on the 4th of July. With the help of TOG and Make Shop  we will have lots of hands on workshops available at the celebration.  In addition to the workshops we will have 3D Dave on hand to show the wonders of 3D Printing and a host of family favorite games from TOG.

Dublin Comic Con

“Dublin’s first Comic Con (August 10th and 11th, 2013) showcasing full size props and costumes from a wide range of movies, tv programs, games and comics. Check out for more info.
Coming in the summer of 2013 with over 3000sq meters of screen used (original) and replica props and costumes from movies, games and tv programs as well as workshops on everything from sculpting and molding to painting and prepping kits we hope to hold the best Con we can!

Big Day Out

We are delighted to be taking apart in this year St Patrick’s Festival.  We will have our very own area at the Big Day Out.  The Big Day Out is a free family fun day around Merrion Square on Saturday 16th of March from 12pm till 6pm. We will have some of last years makers TOG and 3D Dave showcasing projects  and a live 3D printing demos.  Also TOG will be running their famous learn to solder area, where kids of all ages can learn a fun skill.

If you want a feel of what this year Maker Faire will be like drop by and say hello,  we are in the science area.


Calling all Makers ! We have opened our call for this year’s Dublin Mini MakerFaire. The call is seeking all sorts of people, from the high tech to total abstract inventions. All the details of the call are available here.

BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition

The Young Scientist kicks off this week in the RDS with over 550 projects to be showcased. The RDS will become a hive for all things science. It’s a great show to get an insight into pioneering ideas and projects the students have come up with. The exhibition is open to the public from 1.30 pm on Thursday 10th of January.
